Photo Assignment Four, Black and White

For the fourth photo assignment, I chose to take pictures in black and white. I think that black and white naturally looks better with most photographs, but it really depends. Occasionally, black and white can add details, but sometimes take them away too. That's where black and white can be tricky. Here was my best black and white photograph for the week.

I think that this assignment went pretty smoothly, and I'm happy with it's results. I only used Photoshop a small amount, so I'm glad that it wasn't needed to help my images out.

    Sarah I think that your photo is really good. I like how you can see her face and the picture is still dark, the light balance between light and dark is really good.

    The amount of contrast in your photo makes it really interesting. I also really like the pattern left by the light on the wall.
